Our client located in South Windsor, CT currently seeking reliable and motivated General Laborers to join their growing manufacturing team.
Job Description:
These positions are hands-on roles in a fast-paced production environment and include various duties such as operating machinery, polishing metal parts, inspecting components, and sandblasting surfaces. Ideal candidates will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety and quality standards.
Shifts : 1st shift 6:00am-2:30pm 2nd shift 2:30pm-11:00pm
Pay: $18-$22/hr
Responsibilities:
Machine Operator
- Operate and monitor production machines
- Load/unload raw materials and finished parts
- Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
Polisher
- Polish and finish metal parts using hand or power tools
- Ensure surfaces are smooth and meet quality standards
- Handle parts carefully to prevent damage
Inspector
- Visually inspect parts for defects or inconsistencies
- Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Record and report inspection results accurately
Blaster
- Prepare parts by sandblasting or shot blasting
- Set up and operate blasting equipment safely
- Wear protective gear and follow all safety protocols
Qualifications:
- Prior manufacturing or general labor experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a loud, industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Must be dependable and team-oriented
