Job description:
Our client in Portland, CT is seeking a skilled Rubber Mold Designer to create high-precision molds for rubber compression molding, including advanced techniques like 3D-printed tooling.
Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: 70k-110k a year
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, refine, and document molds using CAD software.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
- Collaborate with tool makers and cross-functional teams.
- Support planning, manufacturing, assembly, and quality teams.
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Apply industry trends and innovative solutions, including 3D printing.
Qualifications:
- CAD degree or certificate; 5+ years mold design experience.
- Experience with plastics or rubber injection molding preferred.
- Strong understanding of schematics, tolerances, and lean manufacturing.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Self-directed, professional, and detail-oriented.
