Job description:
Our Client located in Portland, CT is currently seeking Machine Operators to join their team
Shifts:
- 1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18 – $20 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Read job routings, clarify instructions, and notify the Production Manager of discrepancies.
- Set up molds and materials; follow procedures to mold parts accurately.
- Monitor press operation and perform preliminary inspections for defects.
- Count, document, and report completed parts; isolate any discrepant parts.
- Maintain clean work area and comply with quality and safety procedures.
- Use safety equipment at all times; may operate a forklift.
- Communicate issues regarding safety, quality, equipment, or personnel.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Education, Experience & Skills:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in polymer molding is a plus but not required.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions accurately.
- Must be in good physical condition and able to lift heavy molds.
- Strong organizational skills, good judgment, and common sense.
- Ability to learn production equipment, work under pressure, and follow processes systematically.
- Good manual dexterity and ability to grasp new concepts quickly
