Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Machine Technician to join our production team in East Longmeadow, MA. This role requires mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Schedule: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available!

Monday – Friday (1st: 6:00AM – 2:30PM) (2nd: 2:30PM – 11:00PM) (3rd: 10:00PM – 6:00AM)

Responsibilities:

• Perform all Level I Machine Technician tasks and responsibilities as needed.
• Set up and perform changeovers on Peroni Casemaking cell equipment and Crathern spotter machines.
• Operate and maintain casemaking cell equipment, including slitters, hot stamp, labeling, cutting, and date coding equipment.
• Train other employees in proper machine operation and setup procedures.
• Ensure all materials produced meet quality and productivity standards.
• Maintain accurate counts of materials and scrap; complete all required production documentation accurately and on time.
• Keep machines and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Support and participate in Safety, Quality, and Environmental programs and other operational strategies.
• Perform other appropriate duties within the plant as assigned.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating or maintaining manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and adjust production machinery.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Good attendance and reliable work performance.
• Ability to train and mentor other employees.
• Basic computer and documentation skills for recording production and quality data.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
