CNC Mold Maker

Our client in Portland, CT is seeking an experienced CNC Mold Maker to join their team.

Shift: Monday – Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay Rate: $25 – $40 per hour

Job Description :

• Set up, operate, and program CNC machines to manufacture and repair molds and tooling.
• Build, modify, and maintain precision molds according to blueprints and specifications.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and work instructions.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality, accuracy, and tight tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machining issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines and tooling.
• Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to meet project requirements.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.

Requirements:

• Trade school degree in tool/mold making or related apprenticeship preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of mold-making experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Experience with CNC equipment and CAM software (Mastercam preferred).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Forklift operation capability (training provided).
• Strong problem-solving skills, good judgment, organization, and patience.
